The Executive Director of Global Right Nigeria (Abiodun Baiyewu) in a Session with Media Practitioners

An International Non-Governmental Organization (Global Right), organized a Two Day National Business and Human Rights Roundtable Media Training for Media Practitioners (May 20th and May 21st). A welcome address was delivered by the Executive Director of Global Rights Nigeria (Abiodun Baiyewu), where she emphasized that the relationship between Civil Society and the Media is on the assumption. She further stated that, there is so much interaction between Business and Human RIGHTs that we need not ignore. How much has commercial development affects business concerns and the Nigerian populace. She asked the question; How much more can be done for people that do business and the rights of the populace? We should be thinking CSOs and; how do we hold Government accountable, get Civil Society amplified?

British Council partners Young Readers Library to Launch 30 Books Challenge 2019

The 30 Books Challenge 2019

The British Council has partnered with the Young Readers Library to launch the 2019 edition of the 30 Books Challenge, which will build on the success of the previous year. 

The 30 Books Challenge scheduled to hold from 22nd of July to 20th of August is aimed at instilling a culture of reading in children and stimulate their minds while engaging them in a fun and productive way during the forthcoming summer holidays. Adults/parents are encouraged to read along to bond with their children/wards and model the reading culture to them.
